General FAQs
Our guided trips include all gear, terminal tackle, waters, and a professional guide. All you need to bring is appropriate clothing, food/beverages, and be ready to have a good time!
Once you are here, we have everything taken care of. There are a few extras that are not included in your stay.

Yes! We love hosting kids and getting them stoked on fishing. We recommend shorter trips for the kiddos and can tailor our fishing to their experience levels.
- We have a minimum age of 6.
- Kids under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket at all times.
- Please note, we do not offer refunds on trips if the kids want to leave early.
We are first aid and CPR-certified. We always have first-aid kits in the boat and in our packs on wade trips. We're mostly in cell service and close to amenities, should an emergency arise. If you have allergies, please be sure to bring proper medication and/or EPI Pens.
Yes! Please review our policies for more information on deposits and balances.
The remaining balance is automatically billed the day before your trip. If you book within 14 days of your trip date, your full balance is due to reserve your date. If you cancel within 14 days of your trip date, you will be charged the remaining balance of your trip. Please review our policies for more information.
Gratuities are not required but are customary and greatly appreciated by your guides. A 20% tip is customary. If you have any questions about tipping, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We get it, things come up. If you need to cancel your trip, contact us ASAP to go over your options. Please review our policies prior to booking your trip with us.
If you need to reschedule your trip, contact us ASAP to go over your options. Rescheduling of your trip is accommodated at our discretion. Please review our policies for more information.
We love dogs, but we do not allow them on our trips.
Fishing FAQs
Yes! You will need a North Carolina Fishing License for your trip with us. Children 15 and under do not need a license. Please contact us if you need help purchasing your license.
On our creek trips, you'll catch brown trout, rainbow trout, and brook trout.
On our river trips, you'll catch multiple species of trout and/or smallmouth bass, depending on the river.
On our lake trips, you'll catch smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, yellow perch, the occasional musky, and several other bycatch species.
While we cannot guarantee you'll catch a certain number of fish, we 100% guarantee that our guides will work as hard as possible to get you on fish. We pride ourselves on a hard-working team of excellent teachers and patient instructors.
Our fish are our business partners. We are a catch-and-release operation.
We provide all terminal tackle, rods, reels, lines, tippets/leaders, and flies. We've got you covered using only the best equipment. We are outfitted with Orvis Clearwater Waders and Boots.
